heel pain

Why does my heel hurt?

It will happen to you.  If you ask, it has happened to your friends, neighbors, coworkers.  It’s pain in your heel.  First thing in the morning, you get up, and once your foot hits the floor, you want to fall down and cry.  It is very common, occurs to everyone, and won’t go away by itself.

It is heel pain, or plantar fasciitis.  That morning pain in the heel that makes you hop to the bathroom.  It makes you afraid to get out of the car when you get to work.  It makes you afraid to exercise.  And it hurts!

So why do you get this?

The plantar fascia is a band of tissue on the bottom of your foot that starts on your heel and goes all the way to your toes.

For multiple different reasons, such as injury, weight, pronation, overuse, or just wear and tear, this tissue becomes inflamed. And it hurts.

For years, the doctors at WeTreatFeet have been treating this using the most modern and best proven techniques.

Did you know that 98% of the time this is not a surgical issue?

At WeTreatFeet we offer people who suffer from heel pain all current options. Working with several suppliers, we are able to provide care that you might not even know about. We have the latest techniques for making orthotics, modern therapies, and traditional treatments.

Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis (PVNS) is a rare condition that affects the soft tissue lining of joints and tendons. It most commonly occurs in the knee, hip, and ankle joints. PVNS can be aggressive and often presents with symptoms that have been present for years before diagnosis. The synovial membrane becomes thickened and forms nodules, which can lead to pain, swelling, and limited joint mobility. In some cases, PVNS can cause joint destruction and bone erosion. Imaging studies such as MRI or X-ray are often used for diagnosis. Treatment options include surgery to remove the affected tissue or joint replacement if necessary. 🩺🔍🦴
